South Kent, Conn. - The Fordham University golf team completed its second tournament of the fall on Tuesday at the Hartford Hawks Invitational at Bull's Bridge Club where the Rams finished in 17
th place.
The tournament was shortened to 36 holes due to weather.
Senior
Josh Madarang once again led the way for the Rams firing a 73 in round two to go with his opening round 68 for a two-day total of 141, good for a 12
th place finish.
Also competing for the Rams were
Anthony Wells who shot an 82 on day two for a two-day total of 156, good for a tie for 80
th,
Aidan Denning who followed a 79 in round one with a 77 on day two for a total of 156, also tying him for 80
th,
Mithran Denbow shaved five shots of his opening round 83 with a 78 on day two for a total of 161, finishing in 100
th place and
Thomas Hayes finished 103
rd with rounds of 79-84-163.
Dean Cerimido shot matching rounds of 85 for a two-day total of 170, tying him for 110
th place.
Central Florida won the team championship with a two-round score of 550, followed by Connecticut (559), Seton Hall (564), Rhode Island (572), Drexel (576), Cal Poly (578), Sacred Heart (585), Bryant (586), Hartford (589), Towson (592), Fairleigh Dickinson (594), Rider (595), Fairfield (598), La Salle (601), Weber State (604), Holy Cross (607), Fordham (610), Hofstra (621), Mount. St. Mary's (621) and LIU Brooklyn (621).
The Rams return to action Saturday, September 22, at the Quechee Invitational hosted by Dartmouth College at the Quechee Golf Club in Quechee, Vermont.
