South Kent, Conn. – The Fordham University golf team opened play at the Hartford Hawks Invitational, held at Bull's Bridge Golf Club in South Kent, Connecticut ,where the Rams are tied for 13
th place after round one.
Monday was supposed to be 36 holes but round two was suspended due to darkness so play will resume at 8 am Tuesday morning with round three immediately following the conclusion of round two.
Senior
Josh Madarang led the way for the Rams in round one, firing a career best 68, which currently puts him in a tie for ninth.
Anthony Wells fired an opening round 74 and is tied for 38
th,
Thomas Hayes and
Aidan Denning shot matching 79's in round one, tying them for 82
nd place and
Mithran Denbow shot an opening round 83, good for a tie for 106
th place.
Dean Cerimido, competing as an individual, shot an 85 in round one, tying him for 109
th place.
Central Florida is in first place a first round score of 274 followed by Connecticut (275), Rhode Island (281), Seton Hall (282), Cal Poly (25), Drexel (291), Bryant (292), Rider (292), La Salle (296), Towson (297), Hartford (298), Fairfield (298), Fairleigh Dickinson (300), Fordham (300), Sacred Heart (301), Holy Cross (304).
