Mongey, Schiller and Trim Named Srixon/Cleveland Golf All-American Scholars BY GCAA

First Student-Athletes To Receive Honor in Program History

Norman, Okla. - Fordham men's golf seniors James Mongey, Joseph Trim and Matt Schiller were named Srixon/Cleveland Golf All-American Scholars, given by the Golf Coaches Association of America.

To be eligible for Srixon/Cleveland Golf All-America Scholar status an individual must be a junior or senior academically, compete in at least three full years at the collegiate level, participate in 50-percent of his team's competitive rounds, have a stroke-average under 76.0 in Division I, and maintain a minimum cumulative career grade-point average of 3.2. A recipient must also be of high moral character and be in good standing at his college or university.

Mongey, Schiller and Trim were just three of 265 D1 golfers that received this award. A total of 476 collegiate golfers from across the country and among different athletic divisions including division II, NAIA, and division III received this honor. The trio are the first golfers in program history to receive this award.
