Philadelphia, Pa. – The Fordham University men's basketball Rams continue their 2017-2018 Atlantic 10 season, the 115th season of varsity basketball at Rose Hill, by traveling to Philadelphia to face the La Salle University Explorers in the Tom Gola Arena on Wednesday, January 17, at 7:00 p.m.

Fordham enters the game with a 6-11 overall record, 1-4 in the Atlantic 10, after a 75-45 A-10 loss to Davidson in the Rose Hill Gym on Sunday afternoon while La Salle is 7-11 overall, 1-4 in the conference, after a 101-94 triple overtime A-10 loss at Duquesne on Saturday afternoon.
Wednesday night's contest will be the 54th meeting between Fordham and La Salle on the hardwood with the Explorers leading the all-time series, which started in the 1953-54 season, 36-17. La Salle took both of last year's meetings, winning 67-52 on February 8 in the Rose Hill Gym as B.J. Johnson scored a game-high 26 points and 66-54 on March 4 in Tom Gola Arena as Johnson netted 19 point.

• Fordham head coach
Jeff Neubauer returns to his alma mater, where he was a four-year letterman with the La Salle basketball program, on Wednesday. Neubauer was a freshman on the 1989-1990 Explorer team that went 30-2 and earned an NCAA tournament berth for head coach Speedy Morris.
• Senior guard
Will Tavares, who leads the Rams in scoring (15.5 ppg), has scored in double figures in 14 of the 15 games this year.
• Junior guard
Joseph Chartouny leads the NCAA this year in steals/game with 3.65.
• Chartouny has 212 career steals, good for fifth on the Fordham all-time list.
• Chartouny has 375 career helpers, seventh-best in school history.
• Fordham leads the league and is fifth in the NCAA in steals with 122 (11.1/game).
• The 2017-2018 Rams lead the league, and are fourth in the nation, in steals with 174 (10.2/game).
