Golf In Action At Quechee Club Collegiate Challenge

Nieves, Mongey Shoot 74 in First Round

Round 1 Results

Quechee, VT – The Fordham University golf team continued their fall season Saturday at the Quechee Club Collegiate Challenge, hosted by Dartmouth University, at the Quechee Club where the Rams sit in eighth place in the team standings after round one.

Individually, Fordham was led by James Mongey and Tomas Nieves who each shot an opening round 74 to place them in a tie for 22nd. Other Rams in action were Matt Schiller who opened with a 75 and is tied for 29th, Josh Madarang who shot 76 and is tied for 36th and Joseph Trim who shot 78 and is currently tied for 59th.

Cornell and Harvard are tied for the lead in the team standings with a total score of 285, followed by Princeton (289), Central Connecticut (290), Bucknell (293), Drexel (294), Dartmouth (296), Fordham (299), Temple (300), Hartford (304), Rhode Island (305), Siena (311), Brown (321) and Holy Cross (324).

The Quechee Club Collegiate Challenge concludes with 19 holes on Sunday.
