Newport News, Va. - Fordham freshman
Michael Petersen has been named Atlantic 10 Men's Track and Field Rookie of the Week for the second consecutive week.
This is the third weekly honor for Petersen this season. Petersen bested the field in the 800 meter run at the Metropolitan Championship on Friday with a time of 1:53.25. He was also a member of Fordham's 4x800 meter relay team that took first in an IC4A qualifying time of 7:45.60.
The Rams will have a busy weekend, competing at three locations. They will be at the Fast Track Invitational in Staten Island, N.Y., the Valentines Day Classic in Boston, Mass. and the Millrose Games at the New Balance Track and Field Center in New York, N.Y.
