Bronx, N.Y. – The Fordham University Rams continue their 2016-2017 Atlantic 10 season, the 114th season of varsity basketball at Rose Hill, by hosting the University of Richmond Spiders in the historic Rose Hill Gym on Saturday, February 25, at 2:30 p.m. for Senior Day. The game is presented by Key Bank.

Fordham enters the game with a 13-15 overall record, 7-8 in the Atlantic 10, after a 70-52 Atlantic 10 win at Duquesne on Wednesday night, the Rams' third straight win, while Richmond is 16-11 on the season, 10-5 in the A-10, after defeating Davidson, 84-76, in Richmond on Tuesday night.
Saturday afternoon's contest will be the 26th meeting between Fordham and Richmond on the hardwood with Richmond leading the all-time series, which started in the 1984-85 season, 18-7. The Spiders have won the last 13 meetings, including an 80-72 win in Richmond on January 4 as De'Monte Buckingham netted a game-high 22 points while ShawnDre' Jones added 14 and eight assists.

• Over the past two years, the Fordham University men's basketball squad has won 15 Atlantic 10 Conference games (eight in 2015-2016 and six in 2016-2017), one more than the A-10 win total from the previous seven years.
• The 2016-2017 Rams are one of five Atlantic 10 teams to have a winning record in conference road games (5-3). The five road wins matches the 2006-2007 squad for most in a season for the Rams.

Javontae Hawkins and junior
Christian Sengfelder have heated up for the Rams. Hawkins is averaging 20.0 ppg and 5.3 rpg over the three games, shooting .552 (16-29) from the field and .917 (22-24) from the charity stripe, while Sengfelder is averaging 16.3 ppg and 9.0 rpg over that stretch, shooting .429 (9-21) from behind the arc.
• Over the past three games, the 2016-2017 Fordham Rams have held consecutive opponents to scoring 43, 40 and 52 points (a 53-43 win at Rhode Island, a 54-40 home win over Saint Louis and a 70-52 win at Duquesne). In the three games, the Rams held their opponents to shooting just 35.5 percent from the field (49-138) and 16.3 percent from behind the arc (8-49).

Christian Sengfelder was named First Team CoSIDA Academic All-District last week and he will now be placed on the ballot for CoSIDA Academic All-America
® honors.

Sengfelder became the 37th player in Fordham history to reach the 1,000-point plateau in last Saturday's game with Saint Louis.
• Sophomore guard
Joseph Chartouny is second in the NCAA in steals/game, averaging 3.36 and is third in the league and 44th in the country in assists/game (5.2). He tied his career-high with seven steals against Rutgers.
• Chartouny has set a new school record with 84 steals so far in 2016-2017 (former record was 78 by Jason Harris in 1999-2000).
• Junior forward
Christian Sengfelder has made 154 career three-pointers, the tenth best total in school history.
• Graduate transfer
Javontae Hawkins netted his 1,000th collegiate point in the VCU game, leading the Rams with 22 points in the contest. Hawkins has 1,127 career points as a collegiate (224 at South Florida, 511 at Eastern Kentucky and 392 at Fordham).
• The Rams lead the Atlantic 10 and are fourth in the NCAA in steals per game (9.9) and in total steals (278).
• Fordham has recorded double digit steal totals in 16 of the 28 games this year.
• The Rams are also third in the NCAA in turnovers forced (17.86) and fifth in turnover margin (4.8).
