Fordham Rowing: What the Rams Did This Summer

Follow along as we highlight how some Rowing Rams spent their summer

Bronx, N.Y. - The Fordham University Women's Team is off to a strong start this season. The origin of that success can be traced back to the summer of 2017 as acknowledge the ways in which some of the student-athletes prepared for the 2017-2018 season and stayed active in the rowing community over the summer.

Freshman rower Samantha Santiago kept busy on the water this summer.  Sam participated in the Philly Youth Regatta, racing in the women's 2- event.  After winning their heat, she and her pair-partner Casey Miller progressed on to the grand finals where they came in second.

Freshman coxswain, Olivia "Lulu" Herman worked to introduce people to the sport of rowing by serving as a Learn to Row coach.  Thanks to her efforts, a whole new group of individuals have fallen in love with our sport and now identify as "rowers."  The camp was held at the Olympic Training Center in West Windsor, New Jersey.
