Bronx, N.Y. - The Fordham women's soccer team begins the stretch run of conference play this week, when the Rams host Davidson on Thursday night at 7:00 PM, while traveling to La Salle for a Sunday matinee at 1:00 PM.
After a tie and an overtime loss, Fordham currently sits on the outside looking in for the Atlantic 10 playoff picture. Heading into this week, the Rams (5-6-4. 2-3-1 A10) are tied for ninth in the standings with Saint Joseph's and Richmond. Fordham's first opponent of the week is Davidson on Thursday, where the Wildcats are still in search of their first conference win, sitting at 0-6 in the league, 2-13 overall. On Sunday, the Rams face Atlantic 10 leader La Salle, who is a perfect 6-0 in conference play with an 11-3-1 overall record.

SERIES HISTORY: This will be the third meeting between Fordham and Davidson, with the Rams taking each of the first two meetings. Fordham defeated Davidson, 2-0, in 2015 at Jack Coffey Field, while taking a 1-0 decision on a
Brooke Salmon goal at Davidson last season.
On Sunday, it will be the 20
th all-time meeting between the Rams and Explorers with La Salle holding a 9-8-2 edge in the series. La Salle is 3-0-2 in the last five meetings with the last in 2014. Fordham's last win over the Explorers came in 2009.

Kelly LaMorte on a breakaway to give the Spiders a 1-0 win at Robins Stadium in double overtime.
The first half saw Fordham have the best scoring chance in the 11
th minute, as
Juliana Mascelli lined a shot toward goal off the crossbar and out.
In the second half, the Rams put the pressure on early, creating another prime scoring chance in the 51
st minute, when
Clara Gastaldi fended off a Richmond defender and was alone with the goalie. However, Gastaldi could not sneak the ball by Katie Brennan, as she made the save to keep the game scoreless. Brennan would make three more saves in the period, while Fordham's
Kelly LaMorte had three stops forcing the game into overtime.
Fordham had a couple of shots in the opening ten minutes over overtime, but none found the mark, moving the game into a second session of overtime.
In the 105
th minute, LaMorte took a short goal kick, trying to move the ball up to her defenders, but Richmond's Lexi Prillaman stole the ball away and beat LaMorte one-on-one for her second goal of the season and the game-winner.
