Summer Dates for Jess Clinton Soccer Camps at Fordham University Set

Youth Girls Four-Day Camp to be Held July 18th-21st, while Elite Residential Camp Will Take Place July 21st-24th

Fordham women's soccer head coach Jessica Clinton announced the dates for her summer camps today.  The Youth Girls Four-Day Camp will be held Monday, July 18th through Thursday, July 21st, while the Elite Residential Camp will take place Thursday, July 21st through Sunday, July 24th.

Here is a description of both camps:

Youth Camp (Beginner / Intermediate and Advanced Levels Available) Details:
The Beginner / Intermediate Program is intended for players who are just beginning to develop formal skills. For many players, this may be their first exposure to specialized position training. The Intermediate Program requires players to have some proficiency in basic positional skills. This program will work to reinforce these skills and build the player's confidence in the goal or on the field.
The Advanced Program is intended for players who have a strong foundation in goalkeeping or attacking (dependent on chosen program). Players enrolling in session should be on a premier club level, junior varsity, Pre-ECNL / Academy or the Olympic Developmental Program (ODP).
The objectives of this program are:
  • To provide a highly competitive and demanding training environment.
  • To reinforce the basic technical, tactical and physical components
  • To use these building blocks to develop advanced technical abilities and tactical awareness.

Elite Residential Details:
The Elite Residential Program is designed for girls interested in training and playing in a competitive environment and preparing them for the next level.  The focus is primarily on the technical, individual decision making and team tactical aspects of playing soccer at the collegiate level.  In addition to field player training, we offer specialty goalkeeper training.

The program is primarily coached by college coaches, including the Fordham University Women's Soccer Staff.  Under the direction of professional soccer coaches and staff such as speed & agility / strength & conditioning, training, nutrition and mental training will be included in daily practice for all players.

Educational and team buildings sessions will be offered which will also include specialty trainings by soccer and staff coaches (as above). A certified Athletic Trainer is on site 24/7.

Players are housed in campus dormitories and are fed in the Fordham University Dining Hall. All located on Rose Hill's Campus which is adjacent to the playing facility.  Roommate requests will be honored whenever possible (double rooms).  All players attending will receive a t-shirt and an evaluation assessment for their staff coach.  Teams will be accommodated and will be grouped together if requested. Training topic ideas from high school or club coaches sending their teams are welcome.
