Fordham baseball pitcher
Ben Greenberg (Scarborough, Maine) was one of 22 players named to the 2015 Division I College Baseball All-America team by the Jewish Sports Review. He is the third Fordham player to be honored by the Jewish Sports Review as an All-America selection, joining Omero Rozen (2006) and Aaron Markowitz (2008) from the men's soccer team.
Players are selected based on performance on the field and that he has been identified as Jewish.
Greenberg was one of four Atlantic 10 players named to the team, joining La Salle's Justin Korenblatt, George Washington's Eli Kashi, and Saint Louis' Brett Shimanovsky.
Greenberg had an excellent freshman campaign for the Rams in 2015, as he was named to the Atlantic 10's All-Rookie Team, making it the fourth straight year that Fordham was represented on the All-Rookie Team.
An Atlantic 10 Rookie of the Week pick once during the season, Greenberg appeared in 18 games, starting 11, and led Fordham in ERA at 3.04, while being second on the team in innings pitched (71.0), third in wins (4), and fifth in appearances and strikeouts (33). He also excelled in conference play with a team-best 2.28 ERA over 43.1 innings.
