Britt Zappeij has been selected to represent the Netherlands at the 2015 FIBA Europe U20 European Championship (Division A), which is scheduled to be played July 2-12 in Teguise, Canary Islands, Spain.
Zappeij is part of the 15-man roster and is expected to start for her country in the event. The Dutch will play in Group D against the likes of Portugal (July 2), Ukraine (July 3) and Belgium (July 4). Play then continues July 6 against countries from the three other groups.
The soon-to-be sophomore played in nine games for the Rams last season, scoring 11 points and grabbing five rebounds over 49 minutes of action. She made her debut at #24/25 Syracuse in the second contest of the season and scored six points on 2-of-5 shooting from the field.
