Baseball Travels to Dayton For Final A-10 Series

The Atlantic 10 season is down to its final weekend, and the Fordham baseball team looks to lock down one of the seven playoff spots for next week's Atlantic 10 Championship, hosted by George Washington.
 
The Rams (21-28, 12-9) head out to Dayton (14-37, 3-18) for their final three-game series.  Fordham is currently tied for fourth place in the conference standings with Davidson.  The Rams do have the tie-breaker on the Wildcats, after taking two of three games from Davidson back in April.
 
The Atlantic 10 standings are extremely tight with 11 of the 13 teams still in contention for a playoff spot.   Richmond, Saint Louis, and Rhode Island all tied for the top spot at 14-7, followed by Fordham and Davidson at 12-9.  George Washington is in sixth at 13-10, having already completed conference play, while VCU and George Mason are tied for seventh at 11-10.  Saint Joseph's (10-10), La Salle (10-11), and Massachusetts (10-11) are also still alive.
 
Besides the Fordham-Dayton match-up, La Salle is at Rhode Island, Massachusetts is at George Mason, Richmond is at Davidson, Saint Joseph's hosts Saint Louis, and VCU is at St. Bonaventure.  George Washington is playing William & Mary in non-conference action.
