BRONX, N.Y. -- The Fordham softball team (25-18, 11-5 A10) returns to Atlantic 10 play Saturday when it welcomes George Washington (22-20, 4-11 A10) to Bahoshy Field to begin a three-game series starting with a doubleheader at 12 p.m. The third place Rams and ninth-place Colonials conclude the set Sunday with a single contest at 1 p.m.

Between Saturday's games, Fordham's six seniors will be honored with a Senior Day ceremony. The six Rams are Cora Ianiro, Brianna Turgeon, Michele Daubman, Kayla Lombardo, Serena Moroukian and Paige Ortiz.

Last Time Out
The Rams dropped a weather-shortened five-inning 7-1 decision to Hofstra Wednesday at Bill Edwards Stadium. Fordham took an early 1-0 lead with two outs in the top of the first when redshirt junior Rachel Gillen singled home freshman Morgan Figueroa, who singled with one out. Gillen's hit extended her hit streak to 17 games. The lead, however, was short-lived, as Hofstra scored an unearned run with two down in the bottom half to knot the game at 1-1. After neither scored in the second, the Pride scored five times in the bottom of the third to take a 6-1 lead, before adding a single run in the bottom of the fourth for the final tally of 7-1. The Rams finished with four hits, and the defense committed three errors. Senior Michele Daubman (6-8) was charged with the loss after allowing four runs (three earned) on four hits over 2+ innings of work.
