Live StatsThe Fordham women's soccer team ends its non-conference slate on Sunday, as the Rams welcome the Columbia Lions to Jack Coffey Field for a 3:00 PM match-up.
The Rams will look to snap a two-game skid today and pick up its seventh non-conference win, which would be the most in program history. Fordham dropped a pair of road games last weekend at Providence and Stony Brook. Despite the two losses, Fordham has been getting very good production out of its senior duo of
Jessica Widmann and
Kate McDonnell. Both players have already reached career-highs for goals and points this season, and over the last five games, Widmann has three goals and two assists, while McDonnell has a goal and a pair of assists.
Columbia brings a 4-1-3 record into today's game, following a 1-0 Ivy League win over Cornell. The Lions have been stingy on the defensive end, allowing only four goals in eight games with five shutouts.
This will be the 15th all-time meeting between the Rams and Lions with Columbia holding a 9-5 edge in the series. The last meeting was in 2012, as Columbia took home a 2-0 victory. The home team has won each of the last three meetings between the two schools.
