Stony Brook Live Video The Fordham women's soccer team will look to make history this weekend, as it takes a six-match winning streak into road contests at Providence on Friday and at Stony Brook on Sunday.
The six-match winning streak is currently tied for the longest in program history, which was originally set in 2008.  Of those six wins, the game-winning goal has been scored by five different players with only
Jessica Widmann having more than one.  Fordham also looks to improve on its 6-1-0 overall record, which is the team's best-ever mark through seven games.
The Rams will have their work cut out for them on Friday, when they meet Providence.  The Friars are 3-3-2 this season and have won their last two contests.  Providence is also 1-0-1 against Atlantic 10 teams this season, defeating Massachusetts in overtime (2-1), while tying Rhode Island (1-1).
Providence is allowing less than a goal per game at 0.82, as goalkeeper Kristyn Shea has seen all the work in net this season, posting three shutouts.  Offensively, the Rams will have to contain the Friars' top scorer Catherine Zimmerman, who leads the team with three goals and three assists.
On Sunday, the Rams travel out to Long Island for a match-up at Stony Brook.  The Seawolves are 2-6-0 on the year, and have lost three straight matches to Connecticut, Fairfield, and St. John's, all of which were on the road.  The team is 2-0-0 at home.
GameTracker statistics are available for both games, while the Stony Brook match will have live video.
