Live VideoFresh off a win in the team's home opener, the Fordham women's soccer team continues its three-match homestand this weekend against a pair of America East opponents. The Rams host the Vermont Catamounts on Friday at 1:00 PM, while taking on the Maine Black Bears on Sunday at 1:00 PM.
The Rams opened the season with a 1-1 mark last weekend with a 2-1 win over Manhattan, while falling to Eastern Michigan. In the win over Manhattan,

Natalie Sims each had a goal and an assist, as they connected for the game-winning tally in the 85th minute.
Vermont heads into the Bronx with a 2-0 record, posting wins over Central Connecticut State and Youngstown State by identical 3-2 scores with the Youngstown State game going to overtime. Nikki McFarland and Sarah Martin scored two goals each to lead the Catamounts' offense.
Fordham and Vermont have meet only once all-time, which came last year where the Rams came away with a 3-0 victory in Burlington, Vermont. In that game,

On Sunday, the Maine Black Bears are the Rams' opponent. Maine is 1-1 after the opening weekend, defeating Quinnipiac, 1-0, while falling to Bryant, 1-0. Charlene Achille was the lone goal scorer in Maine's win over Quinnipiac, as she scored on a direct kick from 20 yards out in the 83rd minute.
Fordham is 1-0-1 all-time against Maine. The two teams played to a 1-1 tie in Orono, Maine back in 1997, while in 2010, Fordham defeated the Black Bears, 2-0, at Jack Coffey Field behind a pair of goals from Michelle Ancelj.
