The Fordham women's soccer team used some late second half offense to post a 2-1 come-from-behind win over the Army Black Knights in the final tune-up before next week's regular season opener.

After a scoreless first half, Army scored just seconds into the second half to take a 1-0 lead.

Fordham battled back to knot the game at one in the 64th minute, when senior Jessica Widmann scored on a shot to right side of the goal.

Then in in 82nd minute, Widmann struck again, netting her second goal of the game off a pass from Kate McDonnell.

Army had a couple of chances over the final five-plus minutes with one shot just missing left corner, while another with 42 seconds left went up and over the goal.

The Fordham women's soccer team will next be in action on Friday, August 22nd, when the Rams open their regualr season at Eastern Michigan, beginning at 5:00 PM Eastern.
