Bronx, N.Y. (June 19, 2014) – As a defensive lineman with the Fordham University football Rams from 2001-2005, Eddie Gordon was used to mixing it up in the trenches. Fast forward eight years and he's still mixing it up, only now he's doing it an octagon as part of The Ultimate Fighter 19.

Gordon is appearing in the 19th edition of the Ultimate Fighting Championship® (UFC®) series and was one of 16 middleweight (185 lbs.) and 16 light heavyweight (205 lbs.) fighters who have squared off in the most challenging sports tournament on television. In the premiere episode, Gordon was one of the eight men from each division who successfully moved into The Ultimate Fighter house and has been competing for a Harley-Davidson motorcycle and a six-figure contract with the UFC.

Gordon advanced through the tournament to the semifinals where he defeated Cathal Pendred in a match that was broadcast list night. The win moves Gordon to the championship final which will be held on July 6 at the Mandalay Bay Events Center in Las Vegas on Sunday, July 6, and broadcast live on FOX Sports 1.

Gordon, a 2006 Gabelli School of Business graduate, was a four-year letterman with the Rams, serving as a starter on the defensive line for three years. He was named Second Team All-Patriot League in both 2004 and 2005 and was the 2005 recipient of the Lansing Award, presented to Fordham's most outstanding lineman.
