Rowing's Nicole Arrato and Megan Sullivan Named Academic All-Atlantic 10

Arrato earns honor for second straight year for athletic and academic prowess

Newport News, Va. (May 29, 2014) - The Atlantic 10 Conference announced the 2014 Rowing Academic All-Conference team on Thursday. Among those honored was Fordham junior Nicole Arrato (Oxford, Conn./Oxford), who received her second consecutive A-10 Academic All-Conference Award, and senior Megan Sullivan (Orchard Park, N.Y./Nardin Academy), who earned her first. The nine-person team was selected by a vote of the league's rowing media relations directors.
 
Arrato, a junior Psychology major from Oxford, Conn., was a member of the varsity 8 that won the petite final at the 2014 Atlantic 10 Championships and took third at the 2014 Kerr Cup and sixth at the Dad Vail Championships.
 
Megan Sullian
Sullivan, a senior from Orchard Park, N.Y., who is majoring in English and is a member of Fordham's tenth-ranked lightweight varsity 8, competed with the second varsity 8 which won bronze at the 2014 Atlantic 10 Championships. She also won bronze with the third varsity 8 at the 2014 Knecht and the varsity 4 at the 2014 Kerr Cup.
 
Both rowers were also named Collegiate Rowing Coaches Association Scholar-Athletes on Tuesday.
