Bronx, N.Y. (August 15, 2014) - Out with the old and in with the new will be the catchphrase for Fordham University's Jack Coffey Field this summer as the facility is undergoing a major renovation which includes a new playing surface and improved seating.
 
On May 28, crews removed the old FieldTurf playing surface and on August 3 it the new FieldTurf began to be installed. As of August 15, the field is just about finished and women's soccer played the first contest on the field, a scrimmage againt Wagner on Thursday night.
 
In the stands, for the comfort of our fans, the old chair back loge seats in Sections 7, 8 and 9 were upgraded from bleacher seating with backs to individual molded chair back seats.  In addition, both Section 6 and Section 10 were upgraded from General Admission bleacher seating to individual chair back seats in a slightly smaller size, providing an increase of 600 available chair back seats!
 
Lastly, a new public address system will be installed to further add to the game day atmosphere.
