The Rams unleashed an offensive barrage on Thursday afternoon, scoring 20 runs in just nine innings of play to sweep a doubleheader from Marist at Bahoshy Field.
Â
With the pair of wins, Fordham moves above .500 for the first time in over a month.

Game One
Â
Kayla Lombardo went 2-2 with three RBI, leading an explosive Fordham offense in a 9-1 win over Marist on Thursday afternoon.
Â
Sydney Canessa and
Elise Fortier also drove in multiple runs for Fordham, knocking in two apiece.Â
Â
Michele Daubman pitched five innings of one-run softball, improving to 9-8 on the year.
Â
Marist plated a run on three hits in the top of the first, but the Rams quickly responded with a pair in the bottom of the frame.Â
Amy Van Hoven walked and advanced to second on a passed ball before Fortier brought her home with an RBI double to left center. Next up was Lombardo, who then brought Fortier home with an RBI double of her own, giving the Rams a lead they would not surrender for the rest of the game.
Â
Daubman allowed only one more hit over the course of the game and the offense continued to produce. Marist walked the bases loaded in the second and Canessa ripped an RBI single up the middle, putting the Rams up 3-1 after two.Â
Â
Canessa struck again in the bottom of the fourth, as she hit a moon shot over the left field wall, a solo knock that put the Rams up by three heading into the fifth.Â
Â
After Daubman retired the Red Foxes with ease in the top of the fifth, the Rams hung up a big number in the bottom of the frame, scoring five runs and ending the game. Ianiro, Fortier, Lombardo and Ortiz all picked up RBIs in the fifth. Lombardo led the way with a pair.
Â
Game Two
Â
Elise Fortier and
Sydney Canessa were both perfect from the dish in the second game of the day, leading the Rams in an 11-2 rout of Marist on Thursday evening.
Â
Canessa went 3-3 with two RBI, while Fortier went 2-2 with two RBI and a home run.
Â
Marist took an early lead for the second straight game in the top of the first, scoring a run on a Janna Korak sac fly to move ahead 1-0.
Â
The Rams, however, answered back with a little offense of their own in the bottom of the first.Â
Bridget Orchard's squad batted  around, facing over 50 pitches in a frame that saw them score five runs on five hits and leaving the bases loaded.Â
Â
Fordham struck again in the bottom of the third, scoring a pair of runs to move ahead 7-1.
Â
After Gillen sent the Red Foxes down without a hit in the fourth, the Rams hung up a four-spot in the fourth, highlighted by a Fortier home run to center field that may have caused structural damage to Fordham Prep had it not been for a net covering the tennis courts.
Â
Marist threatened in the top of the fifth with a run, but the Rams held on, ending the game in five innings.
NOTE: Due to a threatening forecast for Saturday, the Rams' doubleheader with Saint Joe's, scheduled for Saturday, has been moved to Sunday.
