Rams Kick Off Season at UCF Knights Invitational

Ready to defend their Atlantic 10 title, the Fordham Rams will kick of the 2014 softball season Friday morning in Orlando, Fla., playing a pair of games against LIU Brooklyn and Chattanooga at the UCF Knights Invitational.
 
The Rams will begin their campaign against LIU-Brooklyn in the Sunshine State, seeing as how current weather conditions would preclude the New York schools from playing in the Five Boroughs.  The Blackbirds return nine starters from last season, when they made it to the title game of the NEC Tournament.
 
Following their contest against LIU, the Rams will face off against the Mocs of Chattanooga.  First pitch for that game is expected around 11 AM.
 
The Rams will also play three games over the course of Saturday and Sunday, taking on South Dakota and Kansas on Saturday before squaring off against UCF on Sunday afternoon.
