Chase Edmonds were named the Corvias Patriot League Offensive Player and Rookie of the Week, respectively, it was announced by the league today. Additionally, graduate student defensive lineman
Brett Biestek and senior placekicker
Michael Marando were named Defensive and Special Teams Players of the Week, respectively, as the Rams swept the weekly awards.

Edmonds was also named a College Sporting News All-Star and the College Sports Madness Patriot League Offensive Player of the Week.

It is the fifth Patriot League rookie of the week award for Edmonds while Nebrich picks up his third consecutive weekly award of 2014, the eighth of his Fordham career. Biestek and Marando earn their first weekly awards.

Mike NebrichIn a 42-18 Patriot League win over defending league champions Lafayette College on Jack Coffey Field on Friday night, Nebrich completed 23 of 32 passes for 287 yards and three touchdowns. His three passing touchdowns bring his career total to 51, good for second place on the Fordham career list (John Skelton has the record with 69), and tenth on the Patriot League career list.

On the year, Nebrich has completed 134 of 214 passes for 1,738 yards and 15 touchdowns. He leads the Patriot League and is tied for second in the NCAA FCS in passing yards and leads the league and is fifth in the nation in touchdown passes. He also leads the league and is fifth in the NCAA FCS in passing yards/game (289.7) and is tops in the conference and sixth in the NCAA FCS in points responsible for (98). He leads all active FCS players in career total offense and passing yards per game.

Edmonds carried 25 times for 187 yards and two touchdowns, his fifth 100-yard rushing game over the first six games of the year, against Lafayette and he also returned three kickoffs for 50 yards. He scored on runs of 44 and 8 yards and added the two-point conversion pass to
Dan Light following his second score. Edmonds leads the nation with an average of 212.7 all-purpose yards/game in his first six contests and he leads the Patriot League and is fifth in the NCAA FCS in rushing yards/game (151.7). He also leads the conference and is third nationally in rushing yards (910). He has topped 140 yards rushing in five of his first six games.

On the year, Edmonds has rushed for 910 yards on 128 carries with ten touchdowns and he has also returned 15 kickoffs for 314 yards (20.9/return) and caught seven passes for 52 yards and a score.

Chase EdmondsBiestek, a 2013 Academic All-American®, recoded a career-high nine tackles against Lafayette, seven solo. Included in the nine where four sacks as the Fordham defense held Lafayette to 258 yards of total offense. His four sacks tie Biestek with three other players for most in a single game in the FCS this year.

On the year, Biestek has recorded 21 total tackles, 18 solo, including 8.0 for loss and 6.0 sacks. He also has three quarterback hurries and two forced fumbles. He is second in the Patriot League and eleventh in the NCA AFCS in sacks/game and is second in the league in tackles for loss.

Marando, a preseason All-American, connected on a pair of field goals in the Lafayette win, 22 and 36 yards, and also was good on all four PATs. He also kicked off seven times, averaging 62.9 yards/kick, with one touchback.

On the year, Marando has made good on nine of his 12 field goal attempts and all 29 of his PATs. He is second in the Patriot League and 13
th in the NCAA FCS in field goals/game (1.50) and is second in the league and 16
th in the FCS in scoring (9.3 points/game).

th in the latest Sports Network NCAA FCS poll, will host Penn this Saturday, October 11, at 1:00 p.m. on Jack Coffey Field.
