The Fordham golf team found themselves in 9th place as play concluded at The Macdonald Cup this afternoon, which was hosted by Yale University. Originally slated for three rounds, rain shortened the tournament to 36 holes. Fordham brought in a total team score of 596, four shots better than 10th place finisher Bryant University.
Ben Alcorn was Fordham's top finisher on the weekend. Alcorn shot one over par during the second round, which helped him to a tie for 20th. Alcorn finished +6 on the weekend after shooting a 75 during the first round.
Andrew Dufresne shot rounds of 74 and 75 which helped him finish in a tie for 31st place. Dufresne, a senior, was nine over par for the weekend.
Jeff Hogan found himself in a tie for 36th place after shooting rounds of 73 and 77.
Matt Schiller finished 12 over par after firing rounds of 78 and 74, which was good for 47th place.
Brian Engstrom wrapped up the scoring for Fordham, shooting a 74 during the final round, which put him in a tie for 62nd place.
The Rams will be back in action on Saturday, October 11th, as they compete in the Temple Invitational.
