Fordham Athletics Announce Staff Promotions

Mary Cunneen promoted to Associate Athletic Director, Joe Webber to Assistant Athletic Director

Bronx, N.Y. (October 28, 2014) – Fordham University Director of Athletics Dave Roach announced today the promotion of Mary Cunneen to Associate Director of Athletics for Facilities/Event Management and Joe Webber Assistant Director of Athletics for Equipment Operations and Purchasing.

Mary Cunneen

Cunneen is in her fourth year at Fordham, serving as the Assistant Athletic Director for Facilities and Event Management since October of 2011. Prior to that, she was Coordinator of Facilities and Event Operations in 2010-2011. She also currently serves as the director of the Fordham Leadership Academy.
 
Cunneen oversees the departments of event management and athletic facilities, serving as the managing director for daily facilities operations for the athletic department. This includes daily management, personnel supervision for the facilities, special event direction as well as project oversight on athletic department construction projects. She has served as Championship Director for the 2012 Atlantic 10 Baseball Tournament and the 2014 Atlantic 10 Softball Tournament, hosted here at Fordham University.
 
A 2008 graduate of St. John's University with a degree in Sports Management and a minor in Business, Cunneen also received an MBA in Marketing from the school in 2010.
 
Webber is in his third year with the Rams, serving as the head equipment manager the first two.

Joe Webber

Webber joined the Fordham staff after two years at the University of New Haven. As the Equipment Manager, Webber guided the equipment room and handled all equipment-related concerns for all 16 Charger athletic teams.

Webber graduated from West Virginia University in May 2008 with a Bachelor of Multidisciplinary Studies degree. He minored in Sports and Exercise Psychology, Communications and Business.
