After a strong first round the Fordham golf team struggled to keep the momentum going during the final round of the Temple Invitational. The Rams finished in 10th place, dropping five spots from yesterday. Temple took first place, finishing 12 shots over par, shooting a two round total of 572.
Brandon Matthews of Temple matched his first round score of 69 to take top medalist honors.Â
Ben Alcorn led the way for the Rams, finishing in 20th place after posting a final round of 79. Alcorn shot 71-79, which put him 10 over par for the weekend. The senior finished 12 shots behind Temple's Brandon Matthews.
Matt Schiller and Andrew Dufresne shot a final round of 78 and 79, respectively, placing them in a tie for 33rd overall.
Jeff Hogan struggled on sunday, posting a second round score of 84. Hogan finished in a tie for 58th place.
Oscar Cabanas wrapped up the scoring for the Rams, shooting an 80, which was good for a share of 62nd place.
Fordham will next be in action Saturday, October 18th as they wrap up the Fall season at the Lehigh InvitationalÂ
