Final Individual Standings | Final Team Standings

The first tournament of the fall is in the books for the Fordham golf team, as the Rams tied for ninth place out of 14 squads at the Colgalte Invitational held at Seven Oaks Country Club in Hamilton, N.Y.

Binghamton took the team title, at 16 over par, finishing eight shots better than second place Youngstown State.

Jard Mactas of Lafayette was the tournament's medalist, shooting a one-under 215 over three rounds of play.

Jeff Hogan paced the Rams with a ten-over 226 for the weekend, inlcuding a two-under 70 on the second 18 yesterday afternoon.  Hogan shot 77 and 79, respectively, in the first and third rounds and finished in a tie for 17th.

Newcomers Fernando Morett and Drew Dufresne posted solid efforts for the Rams in their first collegiate competition.  Morett, a freshman from Monterrey, Mexico, shot 75-80-78 to finish in a tie for 33rd.  Dufresne, a junior transfer from St. Mary's, also finished in a tie for 33rd, overcoming a first-round 85 by putting up consecutive 74's.  Dufresne shot up 23 spots on Sunday alone.

Brandon Nolan, Fordham's top finishers from the A-10 tournament a year ago, tied for 48th.  The senior posted an impressive one-over 73 on Saturday afternoon, but book-ended that round with 83's.

Fordham's final competitor, Ben Alcorn, finished 71st in the field at 32-over par.

The Rams will be back in action on Monday and Tuesday of next week (9/16-9/17) at the Adams Cup in Newport, R.I.
