Behind 14 kills from Hannah Sackett, the West Virginia Moutaineers topped Fordham in straight sets on Saturday afternoon.
Chandler Moore and Lisa Hipp led the Rams with seven kills on the match, while Brennan Delsing and Brianna O'Neil each chipped in six.
The Rams held tough in set number one, recovering from an early deficit to knot the score at 18 on a kill from O'Neil. The Mountaineers were able to pull away after that though, outscoring the Rams 7-3 and taking the set 25-21.
Fordham did not fare as well in the second set, falling behind early and eventually dropping the set 25-15.
The Rams play one more game on Saturday, taking on Norfolk State at 4 PM.

The Rams put up their best effort in the third, staying with the Mountaineers for the entirety of the set. Fordham tied the score as late as 22-22, but West Virginia pulled away, taking the set, 25-23.
