After finishing the first round of the 2013 Adams Cup in a tie for 15^th, the Fordham Rams have jumped three spots to 12^th following a solid second round of play at Newport National Golf Club in Newport, R.I.
 
Ben Alcorn, who shot an 82 in round one, led the Rams with a one-over 73, tying his career-low.  Alcorn is tied for 49^th at 11 over following two rounds.
 
Brandon Nolan and Jeff Hogan, who paced all Rams scorers with a pair of 78's in the first round, each shaved off some strokes in round two.  Nolan carded a 75 to jump into a tie for 33^rd, while Nolan posted a four-over 76 to move into a tie for 42^nd.
 
Freshman Fernando Morett cut two strokes off his opening round score with a 77 in round two, placing him in a tie for 53rd.
 
Ryan Donahue rounded out the Rams scorers with a 78.
 
These scores mark the first time this season that all five Rams finished a round sub-80.
 
Brian Engstrom, playing in the Adams Cup as an individual, led the Rams with a 76 in round one but carded an 85 his second go-around.
 
Fordham has one more round at the 2013 Adams Cup, scheduled for Tuesday afternoon.
