SERIES HISTORY AGAINST RUTGERS: This is the third all-time meeting between Fordham and Rutgers with the Scarlet Knights winning both contests. Both matches were at Rutgers with the Scarlet Knights posting a 3-0 win in 2009 and a 4-1 win in 2011.
LAST TIME OUT: The Fordham women's soccer team traveled to Queens for a match-up with the St. John's Red Storm this past Sunday at Belson Stadium, where St. John's Rachel Daly netted a natural hat trick in the first half, as the Red Storm topped the Rams, 5-0.
Daly got St. John's on the scoreboard quickly just 3:33 into the game, as she scored to the short corner off a cross from Amy Marron. Daly would score twice more in the first 21 minutes of the game to increase the lead to 3-0.
Hailey Hemmer added the Red Storm's fourth goal in the 26th minute off a rebound off the cross bar, while the scoring was capped in the 42nd minute, as off a corner kick, the ball deflected off a Fordham defender and into the net for an own goal.
The Rams played scoreless ball in the second half, as Fordham held off the Red Storm attack with goalkeeper Megan Fitzgerald making four saves.
