Three Fordham Rowers Named to IRA All-Academic Team

June 25, 2013 - Bronx, N.Y. - Fordham rowers Jenn Amoroso, Megan Feerick, and Megan Sullivan were all named to the Intercollegiate Rowing Association's (IRA) 2013 All-Academic Team it was announced by the Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) this week.

All three rowers were a part of the Fordham lightweight 4 that won a bronze medal at the 2013 IRA Championships on 2013 IRA Division I National Championship on Lake Natoma in Sacramento, Calif., on June 2.

Amoroso is a junior from Naperville, Ill., who is an Applied Accounting and Finance major, Feerick is a junior Business Administration major from Massapequa, N.Y. who served as coxswain and Sullivan is a junior from Orchard Park, N.Y., who is majoring in English.

All three have also been recognized for their academic and athletic accomplishments earlier this spring as all three were named Collegiate Rowing Coaches Association (CRCA) Scholar-Athletes.

To qualify for the IRA All-Academic Team, a student-athlete must maintain a cumulative grade point average of a 3.35 or better, be at least a sophomore at their respective institution and be a varsity letter winner.
