2013 Fordham Women's Soccer Printable Schedule | On-Line Schedule
May 29, 2013 - Bronx, N.Y. - The Fordham women's soccer team announced its 2013 schedule today, which will feature nine non-conference games and eight Atlantic 10 contests. Included in this year's schedule, the Rams will play two NCAA teams from a year ago, as well as one of the newest additions to the Atlantic 10 Conference in George Mason.
After a pair of exhibition contests, Fordham will open its 21st season of varsity play just down the road at Gaelic Park, where the Rams face crosstown rival, Manhattan College on August 23rd at 7:00 PM. That game begins a three-game road stretch to start the regular season, as the Rams will travel to St. John's on August 25th and to Rutgers on September 1st. The Scarlet Knights are the first of two NCAA Tournament teams from a year ago on Fordham's schedule this season.
Fordham then heads home to Jack Coffey Field for its home opener on September 6th, as the Rams host Army in the second half of a soccer doubleheader with the men's team. Fordham will also host Iona (Sept. 8) and Princeton (Sept. 24) in non-conference home games.
The Rams finish non-conference play with three more road games with Fordham taking on Dartmouth (Sept. 13), Vermont (Sept. 15), and Providence (Sept. 20).
Fordham begins its eight-game Atlantic 10 conference schedule at home against Rhode Island on September 29th at 1:00 PM. Fordham will also host Saint Joseph's (Oct. 6), Massachusetts (Oct. 20), and Duquesne (Nov. 1)
In road action, Fordham has its first league road game on Friday, October 4th at defending Atlantic 10 champion, La Salle. The Rams will also face VCU (Oct. 11), George Mason (Oct. 13), and Dayton (Oct. 27) on the road this season.
In addition to the 17 regular season games, Fordham will have three home exhibition contests against the New York Magic (Aug. 10), Hofstra (Aug. 13) and Fairleigh Dickinson (Aug. 17).
The Rams will look to return to the Atlantic 10 Championship by season's end. It will be held at VCU's Sports Backer Stadium in Richmond, Virginia from November 7-10.
