BRONX, N.Y. - With the Atlantic 10 Golf Championships just days away, the Fordham golf team headed to New Jersey on Tuesday to take part in the Metro Honda Peacock Invitational. The Rams placed ninth out of 12 teams, as Brandon Nolan led the way with a three-over 75, placing him in a tie for ninth.

Five players tied for first by shooting an even-par 72 at Neshanic Valley Golf Course in Neshanic Station, N.J. This list included La Salle's Mike Johnson, Hofstra's Brandon Shin, CCSU's Monte Mullin, and Nick Taylor and Ricky Dowling of Fairfield.

Fairfield took the team title, shooting 297 (+11) as a team. CCSU (301), Monmouth (301), Hofstra (304) and La Salle (304) rounded out the top five.

For Fordham, Nolan's 75 paced the way for five Rams in the field.

Ryan Donahue finished three shots back of Nolan with a six-over 78, good enough for a 26th place tie.

Jason Del Rosso, who has led the Rams in scoring this season, finished tied for 34th after shooting an 80.

Nick Polvino (+13)and Pat Herlihy (+15) rounded out the field for Fordham.

The Rams will be back in action this weekend, when they head down to Florida for the Atlantic 10 Championships at Heron Bay Golf Club in Coral Springs.
