Fordham Basketball Hosts Harvard on Saturday at 4:00 PM on SNY

Bronx, N.Y. (December 27, 2013) - The Fordham University men's basketball squad continues the 2013-14 season as they host the Harvard University Crimson in the historic Rose Hill Gym on Saturday afternoon, December 28, at 4:00 p.m. in a game that will be televised live on SportsNet NY (SNY) with Dave Raymond on play-by-play and John Griffin on color.

Fordham enters the game with a 7-4 record after an 83-69 win over Loyola (Ill.) University in the Rose Hill Gym on Monday.  Harvard enters the game with a 10-1 record after defeating the University of Vermont, 74-68, in Cambridge last Saturday.
 
The Rams will be led into the game by the top scoring backcourt in the Atlantic 10, senior guard Branden Frazier, a preseason Third Team All-Atlantic 10 pick, and freshman guard Jon Severe, a product of Christ the King High School. Severe, who was named Atlantic 10 Rookie of the Week for the third time on Monday, is averaging an Atlantic 10-best 20.1 ppg, after a 23-point game against Loyola on Monday, while Frazier is right behind him, averaging 17.8 ppg, third best in the conference, and he has two double-doubles year.
 
Over his three-year career, Frazier has netted 1,273 points, good for 15th on the Fordham all-time scoring list.
 
Saturday afternoon's contest will be the 13th meeting Fordham and Harvard on the hardwood with the Rams leading the all-time series, which started in 1962, 8-4. Harvard won last year's meeting, 73-64, on December 1 in Cambridge as Jonah Travis netted a game-high 19 points and added 12 rebounds while Wesley Saunders scored 17 points.
