VCU's Kharlton Belmar had a goal and an assist, while Mario Herrera Meraz and Garrett Harvey also scored as the VCU Rams topped the Fordham Rams, 3-0, at Sports Backer Stadium in Richmond, Virginia.
With the loss, Fordham falls to 5-9-1 overall, 2-3-1 in the Atlantic 10, while VCU improved to 9-5-2 on the year, 4-1-1 in the league.
VCU wasted little time getting on the board, scoring in the seventh minute. Juan Monge Solano took a corner kick, which Kharlton Belmar trapped to Garrett Harvey for a one-timer goal to the high center of the net. It was Harvey's third goal of the season.
The score remained 1-0 until the opening minutes of the second half, when Mario Herrera Meraz scored in the 52
nd minute on a shot from the left side to the bottom left corner.
VCU then sealed the game with a goal by Belmar in the 72
nd minute, scoring on a rebound off his own shot.
Fordham has a rough time finding the offensive attack, recording four corner kicks, all in the first half, as well as only three shots.

Alex Naples made three stops, with VCU splitting time between goalkeepers Andrew Wells and Garrett Cypress for the clean sheet.
