Golf Finishes Tenth at Barnabas Health Intercollegiate

Brandon Nolan Leads the Rams at Fiddler's Elbow C.C.

Final Results

The Fordham Rams fell one spot on the final day of the Barnabas Health Intercollegiate, finishing the tournament in 10th place out of 15 teams.
 
The University of Minnesota took the team title at Fiddler's Elbow C.C. in Bedminster, N.J., led by Jon Trasamar, who fired off a six-under 66 on Monday morning.   The Golden Gophers finished 16 shots ahead of second-place Temple.  The Owls did produce the tournament's medalist, however, as Brandon Matthews tallied a seven-under effort over two rounds of play.
 
After carding his best round of the season with a one-under 71 on Sunday, senior Brandon Nolan shot an 80 on Monday morning to finish the tournament in a tie for 19th place. 
 
Junior Jeff Hogan, who shot a 77 on Sunday, posted a team-best 76 on Monday to finish two shots behind Nolan.  The Watertown, Conn., native finished the Invitational in a tie for 26th.
 
Junior Ben Alcorn tallied a solid performance on Monday, shooting a 77 to bump himself into a tie for 35th overall.
 
Senior Brian Engstrom and Freshman Fernando Morett each shot a 79 in the second round.  Engstrom finished tied for 52nd,while Morett bettered his score by four strokes to move into a tie for 62nd.
