Bronx, N.Y. – You can throw away your Farmer's Almanac and remove the Weather Channel bookmark from your browser. If you want to know when it will rain in the Bronx just check the Fordham women's soccer home schedule. For the third time, in three home matches, inclement weather hit Moglia Stadium on game day. Today the weather wasn't the only thing to get Ram fans down as Davidson took a 2-0 lead and fought off a late Fordham comeback attempt, defeating the Rams, 2-1, in an Atlantic 10 game.
With the loss, Fordham falls to 3-6-1 overall, 0-3-0 in the Atlantic 10, while Davidson improves to 5-4-2 overall, 1-1-1 in the conference.
The Wildcats took a 1-0 lead in the 25
th minute when Kiera Pohan settled a cross from Sophia Whiddon and beat Fordham keeper
Addison Green on the ground.
The score remained 1-0 until the 49
th minute when Pohan stole the ball from a Fordham defender and went I a Green alone, beating her from ten yards.
The Rams got one back in the 69
th minute when the Wildcats were called for a handball in the box. Freshman
Edit Mare took the penalty, easily beating the Davidson keeper to the top right.
Fordham had a few more scoring chances later in the half but couldn't find the back of the net.

• Green made two saves in the Fordham net.
• Fordham now leads the all-time series with Davidson, which started in 2013, 6-2-3.

• The Rams continue their Atlantic 10 schedule by traveling to Olean, N.Y., to take on the St. Bonaventure University Bonnies at the Tom 80' and Michelle Marra Athletics Field Complex on Sunday, October 4, at 12:00 p.m.
• It will be the 32nd meeting between the Rams and the Bonnies.
• Fordham leads the all-time series, which started in 1994, 20-7-2, and have taken the last two meetings.
• The Rams won last year's matchup, 4-1, in the Bronx as four different Rams scored a goal.
