NEW YORK - It's said that revenge is a dish best served cold. That wasn't the case tonight for the Fordham women's soccer team as the temperature at kickoff was in the 80's. But that didn't stop the Rams from exacting revenge on a school that defeated the Fordham men's team last night. Sophomore

Sophia Banzon scored second half goals to lead the Rams to a 2-1 win over the Lions at the Rocco B. Commisso Soccer Stadium.
With the win, Fordham improves to 3-2-1 while Columbia falls to 1-3-3.
After a scoreless first half, Johnsen got the Rams on the board in the 64
th minute when she collected a loose ball just inside the box and got off a shot that beat the Columbia keeper on the ground to the near post.
Less than a minute later Banzon made it a 2-0 game when she took a feed from
Renata Mercedes and got off a blast from about 25 yards that beat the Lions keeper to the top left corner.
Columbia made it a one-goal game in the 73
rd minute but that was as close as the Lions would get.

• The Rams travel up to New Haven, Conn., on Sunday to take on the Yale University Bulldogs at Reese Stadium on Sunday, September 13, at 4:00 p.m.
• It will be the seventh meeting between Fordham and Yale.
• The Bulldogs lead the all-time series, 4-2.
• The Rams have taken the past two meetings, including a 3-2 win in the Bronx last year behind a pair of goals from
