Women’s Soccer Downed at Yale

Rams open conference play on Sunday with Senior Day

New Haven, Conn.  – On the trip up to Yale on Sunday, the Fordham women's soccer team drove through some heavy rains. Once there, the skies seemed to clear but the Rams experienced a different kind of storm. The Bulldogs scored four first half goals en route to a 5-1 win over the Rams at Reese Stadium.

The loss snaps a four-game unbeaten streak for Fordham, who falls to 3-3-1 on the season while Yale improves to 4-4.

The Bulldogs scored early, finding the back of the net in the 12th and 13th minutes, and then tacked on two more later in the half.

The Rams got on the board in the 88th minute when junior Baylee Canet sent a cross into the box and a wide open Lindsay Probst one-timed it from about ten yards. It was the first collegiate goal for the junior.

Yale wasted little time in regaining the four-goal lead, scoring just 15 seconds later for the 5-1 final.
