Washington, D.C. – (March 17, 2026) – The Atlantic 10 Conference announced its weekly baseball awards on Tuesday with Fordham freshman outfielder
Mason Dean (Cary, N.C.) earning Rookie of the Week honors. It is his first career weekly honor.
Dean hit safely in all five games for the Rams last week, as Fordham posted a 4-1 record. He batted .533 (8-15) with seven runs scored, two doubles, a home run, seven RBI, and three stolen bases.
In his first game of the week against Iona, he went 2-for-3 with a grand slam home run and a season-high five RBI to go with a pir of stolen bases. He then recorded three hits and two runs scored against Rutgers, helping the Rams to their first win over a Big Ten opponent since 2013.
On the weekend, Dean hit safely in all three games at Davidson and scored three times in the series finale, that Fordham won 26-3, the Rams' highest scoring game since 2018.
Dean and the rest of the Rams begin a nine-game homestand on Wednesday, March 18
th with a 2:00 PM game against Marist.
