Chicago, Ill. – The Fordham women's tennis team got its trip to the Windy City off to a good start on Saturday night with a 4-0 blanking of the University of Illinois Chicago at the Homewood Flossmore Racquet & Fitness Center.
 
Fordham opened the match winning the two completed doubles matches to secure the point. Valerija Kargina and Lily Chitambar took second doubles from Nia Cooper and Dongke Liu, 6-1, and Paola Dalmonico and Catalina Padilla defeated Marta Halbersztadt and Charlotte Deletioglu at the third spot, 6-3.
 
The Rams then won the first three completed singles matches for the 4-0 win.
 
Nevena Kolarevic took first singles from Edit Cosmo in straight sets, 6-2, 6-1, Valerija Kargina defeated Anais Brion at fourth singles, 6-3, 6-4, and Lily Chitambar was victorious at the sixth position over Charlotte Deletioglu (UIC) 6-1, 6-2.
