Swimming & Diving Celebrates Senior Day Against UMass

Fordham Women Defeat Minutewomen, 184.5-113.5; Men Fall to UMass, 163-137

Bronx, N.Y. – (January 31, 2026) – The Fordham swimming & diving team celebrated Senior Day on Saturday, as the Rams hosted UMass at the Col. Francis B. Messmore Center.

WOMEN'S MEET

Fordham defeated UMass, 184.5-113.5, to improve to 7-3 in dual meet action.
Four Rams won two events in the meet, starting with Hayley Clark taking first in the 1000 freestyle in a season-best time of 10:20.08 and the 200 individual medley in 2:07.52.
Saskia Aikman posted event wins in the 100 backstroke (56.56) and 100 freestyle (52.52), while Ella Montgomery swept the butterfly events in 2:09.33 (200) and 58.40 seconds (100).
Katie Laverty was the final multi-event winner, sweeping the diving events with scores of 295.80 (1M) and 315.23 (3M).
Other individual event wins came from Campbell Stever in the 500 freestyle (5:08.51) and Tera Brilmyer in the 200 backstroke (2:10.55).
In the relays, Aikman, Magdalena Wlodarkiewicz, Mongtomery, and Lexi Lundell won the 200 medley relay in 1:45.04, while Allison Kim, Aikman, Lundell, and Wlodarkiewicz took first in the 200 freestyle relay in 1:35.74.

MEN'S MEET

The Rams fell to UMass by a 163-137 score.
Quinn MacPhail was a dual event winner, taking first in the 200 freestyle (1:41.52) and the 200 individual medley (1:54.62).
Max Maycher took the top spot in the 100 butterfly in 50.67 seconds, while being second in the 50 freestyle (21.14).
David Vargas won the three-meter diving event with a score of 391.28.
Fordham swept the relay events, as Daniel Ribeiro, Maycher, Misha Semenov, and David Topi won the 200 medley relay in 1:31.64, while the same group (Maycher, Ribeiro, Topi, and Semenov) won the 200 freestyle relay in 1:23.46.

WHAT'S NEXT

Fordham will now prepare for the 2026 Atlantic 10 Championship, which will be held February 18-21 at the Hampton Aquaplex in Hampton, Virginia.
