Teaneck, N.J. – (September 7, 2025) – For the second time this season, the Fordham women's soccer team rallied from a 1-0 deficit to win a game 2-1 on a final minute goal. The Rams beat the FDU Knights on
Lena Johnsen's 90
th minute goal at University Stadium.
Fordham improved to 4-1-1 overall after the win.
THE GAME
- FDU opened the scoring in the 38th minute, when Dominique Liberto scored on a scramble ner the goal.
- The Rams evened the game on a goal from Julia Acosta, her first of the season, in the 50th minute. She won a battle with a defender, lifting a shot to the top of the net from 15 yards.
- The game-winning goal came in the 90th minute, as Ava Giudice's cross from the right side of the box found Lena Johnsen, who re-directed the ball into the net for her second of the season.
GAME NOTES
- Kyla King totaled six saves for the Rams, improving to 3-0 on the season.
- Giudice has at least one point in five of six games this season.
- Giudice, Johnsen, and Liina Tervo are now tied for the team lead in scoring at eight points.
- Today's win was Fordham's first over FDU in three all-time matches.
- The Rams are 4-1-1 for the second straight year
