Buchanan Award Watch List
 
Bronx, N.Y. – Fordham graduate student linebacker James Conway was named to the 2025 Buck Buchanan Award Watch List, it was announced by the league today.
 
The award, in its 31st season, is named for legendary defensive lineman Junious "Buck" Buchanan, who starred at Grambling State as part of his Hall of Fame career. Past Buchanan recipients include Dexter Coakley, Rashean Mathis and Jared Allen; Central Arkansas' David Walker was last season's winner.
 
It is the third preseason honor for Conway, who was named a preseason First Team Stats Perform All-America last week as well as preseason All-Patriot League.

2024 (Senior Season)
• Started four games as a senior.
• Named First Team All-Patriot League.
• Also named First Team All-Patriot League by PhilStele.com.
• Became the Fordham and Patriot League career tackles leader this year with 436
• Limited to four games in 2024 due to injury
• Managed to still finish sixth on the team with 49 tackles
• Recorded double digit tackles in three of the four games
