BRONX, N.Y. – Entering his seventh season at the helm of the Fordham men's soccer program, Head Coach
Carlo Acquista has announced
his team's schedule for the upcoming 2025 campaign.
The Rams are coming off a 2024 season that saw the team secure an at-large bid to the NCAA Tournament for just the second time in school history. Overall, it marked the sixth time in program history that the Rams have qualified for the 48-team field. From that squad, Fordham is set to return over 80% of its scoring, led by 2024 Atlantic 10 Midfielder of the Year and First Team All-Conference selection
Daniel D'Ippolito. A Third Team Academic All-American, D'Ippolito ranked third nationally in points (35) and seventh in goals scored (14).
After playing a trio of home exhibition matches against Iberos CF (Aug. 6), Seton Hall (Aug. 9) and FDU (Aug. 12), the Rams will close out the preseason with a scrimmage at Army on Aug. 16.
The Rams will then kick off the regular season with three road tilts in the span of 10 days beginning with the campaign's official opener on Aug. 21 at James Madison. Fordham will then head north to Philadelphia for an Aug. 24 match at Drexel before closing its season-opening road swing on Aug. 30 at Colgate.
Fordham will return to the Bronx on Sept. 2 when it welcomes Lafayette for its Moglia Stadium opener. The Rams will complete their abbreviated homestand on Sept. 5 with a 7 p.m. tilt against Marist.
Fordham will make the short trip to Gaelic Park on Sept. 9 for its annual Battle of the Bronx rivalry match against Manhattan. The Rams are undefeated in their last three meetings with the Jaspers.
The Rams will head to Rhode Island for their Atlantic 10 opener on Saturday, Sept. 13, and resume a tightly contested series that saw the two conference foes face off every season from 2013-23.
Following their A-10 debut in Kingston, the Rams will stay on the road for a Sept. 20 match at George Washington.
On Sept. 27, the Rams will return home for the first time in more than three weeks when they welcome VCU to Moglia Stadium for a 7 p.m. kick-off.
After traveling to the Windy City for an Oct. 4 meeting with Loyola Chicago, the Rams will host a crucial two-game swing when Dayton (Oct. 8) and Duquesne (Oct. 11) visit Moglia Stadium. Last season, both Dayton, the reigning A-10 champ, and Duquesne finished in the top four of the final conference standings.
The Rams will head to Saint Louis on Oct. 18 before playing a pair of local foes in Hofstra (Oct. 21) and Columbia (Oct. 28) to close out their non-league slate. The matchup against the Pride, which has earned national seeds in back-to-back NCAA Tournament, will take place at Moglia Stadium. The game against Columbia will be contested at Rocco B. Commisso Soccer Stadium in Upper Manhattan.
Fordham will return to A-10 play at close out its regular season with a Nov. 1 contest against St. Bonaventure in the Bronx.
