Box Score Orlando, Fla. – The top-seeded Fordham women's tennis squad opened play at the 2025 Atlantic 10 Championship with a 4-0 blanking of eighth-seeded Dayton at the USTA National Campus on Friday.
With the win, Fordham advances to the semifinals for the fourth time in the last five years where the Rams will face another set of Atlantic 10 Rams, fifth-seeded VCU.
Fordham opened the match winning the doubles point, taking both completed doubles matches.
Paola Ueno Dalmonico and
Catalina Padilla Udaeta got things off on the right foot for the Rams with a 6-0 win over Dayton's Montserrat Sierra and Grace Murphy at third doubles and
Lorraine Bergmann and
Lily Chitambar clinched it with a 6-1 win over Laura Greb and Haley Klein at the second position.
The Rams then won the first three completed singles matches, all in straight sets, for the 4-0 win. Padilla Udaeta shutout Grace Murphy at sixth singles, 6-0, 6-0, before Bergmann defeated Laura Greb at third singles, 6-3, 6-2. Kolarevic clinched the win for Fordham with a 6-4, 6-0 win over Natalie Osiecki, 6-4, 6-0.
