Box Score Providence, R.I. – The Fordham women's tennis squad saw its three-match winning streak snapped as they ventured up to Providence where the Rams fell to Brown University, 5-2, in the Pizzatola Sports Center on Saturday.

Fordham opened the match dropping the doubles point as the Bears won two of the three doubles matches. Fordham's Julianne Nguyen and Nevena Kolarevic fell at first doubles to Brown's Addison Ahlstrom and Lindsey Hofflander, 6-3, before Paola Ueno Dalmonico and Catalina Padilla Udaeta evened the score at doubles with a 6-4 win at the third position over Hannah Shen and Ali Maguy, 6-4. The double point came down to second doubles which had to go to a tiebreaker with Brown's Bella Hu and Dani Ben-Abraham taking the tiebreaker from Lily Chitambar and Lorraine Bergmann, 9-7.
 
Fordham picked up singles wins at first and second singles. Kolarevic dropped the first set at first singles to Ahlstrom, 6-2, but came back to win the second, 6-3, and the third, 6-2.
 
At second singles Nguyen defeated Gabby Soliman in straight sets, 6-0, 6-2.
