Box Score Washington, D.C. – The Fordham women's tennis squad wrapped its trip to the Washington, D.C., area with a 4-0 win over George Washington University at the Southeast Tennis and Learning Center (SETLC) on Sunday.
Fordham opened the match taking the doubles point, winning both completed doubles matches. Fordham's
Julianne Nguyen and
Nevena Kolarevic won at first doubles over Vaida Matuseviciute and Karen Verduzco, 6-1, before
Lily Chitambar and
Lorraine Bergmann clinched the point for the Rams with a 6-3 win over Madison Lee and Victoria Sasinka at second doubles.
The Rams then won the match by taking all three completed singles matches, all in straight sets. Kolarevic defeated Sasinka at first singles, 6-2, 6-1;
Lorraine Bergmann took third singles from Madison Lee, 6-3, 6-4; and
Paola Ueno Dalmonico defeated Verduzco at the fourth spot, 7-5, 7-5.
