Hampton, Va. – (February 20, 2025) – Day two of the 2025 Atlantic 10 Swimming & Diving Championship is complete at the Hampton Aquaplex in Virginia.
Through day two, the Fordham men are in seventh place out of eight teams with 121 points.
Fordham scored in three of the five events on Thursday, starting in the 200 individual medley.
Noah Althoff made the "A" final, placing eighth in 1:491.15, while
Daniel Ribeiro scored 12
th as a part of the "B" final in 1:50.22.
Then in the 50 freestyle,
Christian Taylor earned the bronze medal with a season-best time of 19.90 seconds, while
David Topi and
Vitalis Onu scored 11
th (20.34) and 16
th (20.49), respectively as a part of the "B" final.
Other individual events on Thursday were the 500 freestyle and one-meter dive.
Dylan Champagne was Fordham's top finisher in the 500 freestyle, placing 20
th in 4:36.30, while
Marco Petit scored 186.40 points in the one-meter dive.
The last event saw another bronze medal performance for the Rams, as Taylor, Topi, Ribeiro, and Onu grabbed third in the 200 freestyle relay in 1:20.19.
Day three of competition starts at 10:00 AM on Friday with preliminary heats, followed by finals at about 6:00 PM.
